BarCampBrighton (10-11th September) hosted once again at The Skiff is an unconference; a participant-driven conference centred around the web, digital art, design and technology.

There are just a few tickets remaining.

Encompassing topics such as the open and social web, mobile, games design, usability, user experience, interaction, design, programming and robotics, it is a community-run, free event.

We had quite a few drop-ins yesterday, but the the furthest afield must have been Klub Dialog who are a group of creative professionals from Bremen, Germany, in the creative industries.

They’re documenting their trip in a daily travel journal and will be showing a film about their experiences at the end of November.

Great British Chefs is a new start up that celebrates and champions the best chefs across Britain. These are chefs who cook in their restaurants on a regular basis and whose food is distinctive and cooked with love.

We are currently on the beginning of our journey and have launched with an iPhone and iPad app with 180 exclusive recipes from 12 Michelin starred chefs that can be downloaded at http://www.greatbritishchefs.com/the-app. But there’s a whole lot more coming to our site in the next few months and we’re really keen on getting your views on how we can develop our site, based on what technology & websites help you in the kitchen.

During the Digital Festival we’re running a competition to win a £50 iTunes App Store voucher. So please look out for this on BarCampBrighton’s site.
