Metranet is a wireless internet service provider for business operating in and around the city of Brighton & Hove. Using WiMAX, we have covered over 90% of Brighton & Hove with a massive wireless broadband infrastructure. We deliver carrier-class internet connectivity where conventional providers can’t, offering leased line performance at DSL prices.

The company has grown out of the grass-roots Wi-Fi culture of Brighton & Hove. Its founders are responsible for launching and running the Loose Connection free wireless internet brand that dominates the Brighton Wi-Fi scene and has proved popular with students and business alike.

We are already providing connectivity to clients such as Brighton and Hove City Council, University of Sussex and many local schools in situations where BT and Virgin could not compete on either price or service. We have also designed bespoke wireless solutions for clients such as Brighton Media Centre.
